Quade Circle Director Spotlight: Introducing Michael Edell

Background and Expertise
The fun stuff:
Father of (2) amazing girls, grandfather of one amazing granddaughter, husband of 31
years, puppy pappa of (3) Dogs all doodles, reptile habitat for (2) rescued Russian
tortoises.

Claim to fame: Having collected comics for over 40 years and built a near perfect
collection of Silver Surfer and Sub-Mariner. Lover of Star Wars, Star Trek and all comic
movies. Yoda is my hero.

The business stuff:
Started my first software company at the age of 19 after mastering moon lander in high
school. Sold one tech company to Microsoft and one to ADP at the age of 39.
Participated in taking a company public, serving on public board, helped turn around or
shut down numerous companies, board member/advisor on numerous companies, built
and sold 6 companies. Still running two companies. Some winners and some losers.
In my dealings with companies, I loved facilitating, encouraging entrepreneurs and
businesspeople, like a corporate life coach. The struggles are real, and it is horrible to
feel alone.

Joining Quade Circle:
Joining Quade will allow me to follow my passion, which is to help people in areas that
my experience might prove beneficial. Allow others to avoid the mistakes I made and
learn from each other and support each other. It is lonely at the top and any group that
can help alleviate some of the stress is a worthwhile goal. We are here to help and
support each other.

Personal Insights:
Learning from the experiences of others who were kind enough to share with me, has
been instrumental in my life and has helped me over some very rough times. We all
should pay it forward. It is also quite nice to celebrate the wins with others who can
appreciate the hard work and effort.
