Background and Expertise
Ann is a visionary leader, CEO and Board Member with both for-profit and non-profit experience. In her nearly 30-year career in with AES Corporation, she led greenfield and M&A driven development in the U.S. and Europe and managed a portfolio of electric generation businesses in Europe before serving for nearly a decade as the CEO of Indianapolis Power and Light Company, a $1B company with 400,000 retail customers. Moving on to the non-profit sector, Ann led United Way of Central Indiana for nearly a decade where she grew the organization to the 5th largest local United Way in the U.S. network, launched the first COVID Economic Relief Fund, secured the largest individual gifts in the history of the organization and transformed its operations to focus on measurable community impact. In 2022, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb awarded Ann a Sagamore of the Wabash for her service. Recently retired from full time employment, Ann uses her substantial business expertise as a member of the board of directors of Evergy, Inc., Wabash National Corporation, and The Mind Trust and, of course through her directorship at Quade. Ann previous served on the boards of Herff Jones, AEGIS Insurance Services, First Internet Bank, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Joining Quade Circle
Driven by a passion for mentorship, a commitment to developing the next generation of leaders, and a reputation for building high performing executive teams, Ann joined Quade Circle. Her decision to become a Circle Director is driven by her belief in Quade’s core values and methodologies, a desire to share her wealth of knowledge and experience, and her first-hand knowledge of how powerful Circles can be in the development of CEOs and their businesses.

Impact on Quade Community
Ann will be the director of Quade’s first Virtual Circle, offering a unique opportunity for Circle members to interact with fellow members inside and outside their typical local professional networks and engage from wherever they might be.

Personal Insights
On the personal side, Ann enjoys time with family, world travel, boating, reading, music, and exercising. She understands both the importance of work/life balance and the struggles that those in the CEO’s chair have in achieving it.
